The best church leader is a team. At Haddenham Baptist Church, we’re blessed with a group of dedicated individuals who work together to discern God's will in kingdom building within our local community. The diaconate seek to serve the church fellowship, so that together we work as one body with many parts. Our passion being reaching out into the community shining the light of Christ into dark places, for we believe in doing so we will indeed reflect Jesus' love for all.
TUDOR PARSONS
Minister
Tudor has led the church fellowship through his ministerial training at Spurgeon's Theological College in London, studying an Honours Degree in Theology. Other church roles include being lay pastor for nine years within another local Baptist church and as a church deacon within the prince of preachers, Charles Haddon Spurgeon's first church in Waterbeach.
PAUL SHEPHERD
Church Secretary
Paul joined Haddenham Baptist Church in 2011 and has been Church Secretary for the last 9 years.
Before 2011 he served as Church Secretary at Cottenham Baptist Church, and in the past served there as a Pastoral Assistant.
A keen table tennis league player.
ANNE THORPE
Deacon-Responsibility Assistant Treasurer
Anne has fulfilled a number of positions within the church. She has run or helped in creche, primary & secondary Sunday club, and led the toddler group. She is also involved in the XChange youth group and is our Assistant Treasurer.
PAULINE WILSON
Deacon-Responsible Safeguarding
Pauline has been a Deacon since 2003 and is currently Safeguarding Deacon for the church, and is part of the healing ministry team. She has had Counsellor training which is useful for those that need to talk about their problems because it’s all part of healing.
DOREEN HATLEY
Deacon-BMS representative
Doreen is the church BMS representative. Prior to joining Haddenham Baptist Doreen was a deacon at Little Thetford Baptist Church for eight years and a church member of another Baptist church in Waltham Abbey for 34 years. Doreen also leads our bi-weekly coffee morning held on a Thursday morning.
GARETH WILSON
Church Treasurer
Gareth Wilson FCA, retired Chartered Accountant, has been the Treasurer since 2003 and a Deacon since 2008. Gareth is also a District and Parish Councillor and involved in many village activities.
